We think of day and night as separate entities, yet one flows into the other. The same continuum applies to hot and cold, wet and dry . . . Many of these paintings of dunes indicate them as they might appear at day or at night. The vastly different images are of the same underlying structure: a ripple of sand on the surface of the landscape.

This painting and the few with similar overall structure indicate the trajectory of my life. I see my peers as the straight and narrow.  My life is shown as the broad and richer trajectory which veers away from the straight and predictable. SOLD
