I began this work at the start of 2015. The paintings constitute representations of my past, my view of the current world, and the hopes I have for the future.

Paintings may directly present the world we see (land, sea, plant, from above and in front). In others, an idea from the environment has been abstracted to present a feeling — awe, hope, anger, despair, responsibility, intrigue, fun.

I am aware that many amazing artists have influenced the way I see, and sometimes I recognize those influences. The use of colour deliberately leads and directs ways of viewing works.
